Manchester United were fortunate to collect three points in a 1-0 win against Burnley in their Premier League clash at Turf Moor.

United were poor in the first-half and failed to turn up in the opening 45 minutes. Erik ten Hag’s side were slow against an energetic Burnley side that hit the post early on.

However, a moment of class from both Jonny Evans with the pass and Bruno Fernandes with the finish ensured United went into the break in the lead minutes before the whistle.

A goal from Evans earlier in the half was also disallowed as Rasmus Hojlund was standing in an offside position.

The second half was more of the same from United, who struggled to stamp any authority on the game.

The player ratings so far can be seen below:

Andre Onana – 6/10

Solid save towards the start of the half. His ball-playing ability is still not being utilised by United at the moment.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

Solid performance with some nice actions in attack and defence.

Victor Lindelof – 5/10

Did well overall.

Jonny Evans – 7/10

Unfortunate to have a fairytale goal ruled out. Beautiful assist for the opener. Solid second-debut.

Sergio Reguilon – 6.5/10

Was continuing his solid form. Pulled up with what looked to be a hamstring injury. United will be begging that it is nothing serious.

Casemiro – 6/10

Decent performance overall.

Scott McTominay – 5/10

Invisible in the first-half. Improved second half.

Hannibal Mejbri – 6.5/10

One of the only players constantly on the move throughout. Solid display.

Bruno Fernandes – 6/10

Poor throughout the first-half until he scored an unbelievable volley at the turn of the half. Average second half.

Rasmus Hojlund – 5.5/10

Came close to a couple of opportunities but a frustrating game for the forward.

Marcus Rashford – 5/10

Inconsistent display on the wings.
