Manchester United lost 4-3 at in their Premier League clash against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
A heavily rotated United side dealt with some early pressure from Brentford before finding the opening goal after a brilliant move on the break.
However, some poor defending saw the Bees score twice without response going into the break, and they scored another two goals to give them a 4-1 lead.
Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Amad late on put on some pressure but it ultimately was not enough to get anything from the game.
United player ratings can be read below.
United player ratings vs Brentford
Altay Bayindir – 4/10
A game to forget for the Turkish goalkeeper. Slipping everywhere in the first half and questionable for the opening two goals. Poor distribution as well.
Tyler Fredricson – 7/10
A bright game despite the pressure Brentford put on United’s backline.
Matthijs de Ligt – 6/10
Suffered an injury just before the second Brentford goal. Hopefully it isn’t too serious.
Luke Shaw – 5/10
Unfortunate with the own-goal but didn’t have a great game otherwise.
Patrick Dorgu – 6/10
Decent.
Manuel Ugarte – 7.5/10
One of United’s better players across the 90 minutes.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6/10
Brilliant pass in the build-up to the opener but didn’t get involved enough afterwards.
Harry Amass – 6/10
A confident start to the game. But seemed slightly effected after he lost a header before Brentford’s second goal.
Mason Mount – 7/10
Great movement and finish to score the opener. Created a good chance on the turn of half-time. Minutes in the legs.
Alejandro Garnacho – 8/10
Great cross for Mount’s goal and a stunning goal himself. Good performance.
Chido Obi – 6/10
Very unfortunate to see a couple of shots blocked after good play in the box. Not involved too often.
Substitutes
Harry Maguire – 6/10
Leny Yoro – 7/10
Amad – 7.5/10
Christian Eriksen – 7/10
Victor Lindelof – 6/10
