Andy Cole has claimed that Manchester United transfer target Pedro Neto can play at the “highest level” with various clubs chasing his signature.

Neto, 23, joined Wolves in the summer of 2019 and has since made 132 appearances for the Premier League side.

This season, the winger has three goals and 11 assists in 21 games and is beginning to pick up interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

United have previously been linked with the Portuguese winger, and recent reports have stated that Neto is one of the names being considered for the summer alongside INEOS’ lead target Michael Olise.

Andy Cole, who scored 121 goals for United, has addressed the interest in the wide player.

“He’s another player that I enjoy watching. He scores goals, he’s creative and he’s another player that can definitely step up,” he responded when asked by BetFred whether Neto could make the step up to United.

“Wolves would do very well to hold onto him because there’s no doubt that clubs are chasing him now. He’s another player for me that can play at the highest level.”

The wide player would offer a solution to the right-wing problem at Old Trafford which has been apparent for several years.

Antony signing for the club has not turned out the way that Erik ten Hag would’ve liked and INEOS are now open to offers for the £85 million signing in the summer.

The Brazilian is yet to score or assist a goal in the Premier League this season.
