“Do better…” Paul Scholes blasts Manchester United star for key moment vs Chelsea
Paul Scholes has blasted one Manchester United player for missing a key chance against Chelsea as the sides drew 1-1 in the Premier League.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Premier League debut as Manchester United’s interim manager saw his side battle to a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The match began cautiously, with both teams creating limited chances but each hitting the post in the first half.

The action intensified after the break. Bruno Fernandes put United ahead from the penalty spot after Rasmus Højlund was fouled in the box, following a pinpoint cross from Casemiro.
Chelsea responded swiftly, with Moisés Caicedo curling a powerful shot from the edge of the area to equalize. Both teams searched for a late winner, but the game concluded level at 1-1.
Scholes criticises Rashford
Right at the end of the first half, Marcus Rashford had a fantastic chance to open the scoring, but he hit the crossbar after a cross from the left wing towards the back post landed perfectly for him.
Speaking after the game, former United midfielder Paul Scholes criticised the forward, explaining that he feels Rashford could have done better with the chance presented to him
“I expect him to do better,” Scholes told Premier League Productions when focusing on the chance.
“I think he is trying to make the goal look better by going high into the roof of the net. It is quite a simple side-foot volley from seven yards.
“All he has to do is keep it down,” Scholes explained.
