Following a disappointing late defeat away to Brighton on Thursday, Manchester United travel to London for the third time in as many weeks, this time to face West Ham United.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team reside in fourth place in the Premier League, although the gap to Liverpool now sits at just one point. Come Sunday night, United will have two games in hand, making the clash at the London Stadium a must-win.

West Ham are currently locked in an intense relegation battle. Only four points clear of the drop zone, David Moyes’ side will be hoping to pick up points on Sunday as they look to secure Premier League status for another season.

Here is a look at each side’s key player ahead of the game at the London Stadium.

Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United’s vice-captain Bruno Fernandes has been in imperious form of late. The heartbeat of this United side, Fernandes is at the centre of everything positive the Red Devils do.

Despite picking up an injury against Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final, leaving him wearing a protective boot, he has started United’s next three games, something which personified his commitment to the club.

Fernandes will be hoping to carry over his excellent form of late to Sunday’s game in East London.

West Ham United – Declan Rice

Declan Rice has had another excellent season for West Ham, despite their form, something which has caused him to be linked with a move away this summer.

The Hammers captain has led from the front this season, contributing from both an attacking and defensive standpoint. His all-round game has improved even more this season, something vital for his side, as he looks to control the game in midfield.

With West Ham coming up to a critical point in their relegation battle, he will no doubt be a critical player on Sunday at the London Stadium.
