In their last pre-season match in the United States, Manchester United will face Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United will end their US Tour by playing against Borussia Dortmund on Monday. Erik ten Hag have lost their last two matches and hence will be desperate to leave the United States with a win.

Dortmund, on the other hand, are in red-hot form this pre-season – the German side beat Sand Diego Loyal SC 6-0 in their last match. Dortmund are yet to be beaten this pre-season and have scored over 18 goals in their last four matches while keeping two clean sheets.

Ten Hag fielded two contrasting teams against Wrexham and Real Madrid. While the Welsh club faced a young Manchester United side, Madrid faced a strong team. However, on both occasions, the Red Devils failed to deliver, losing the fixtures 3-1 and 2-0 respectively.

As far as injury concerns go, United will be without Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo, while Anthony Martial is returning and might even start for the team as the No. 9.

Dortmund recently acquired the services of former United player Marcel Sabitzer and the Austrian could also make his unofficial debut for the club.

Let’s take a look at the ones to watch out for:

Manchester United – Marcus Rashford

The English international was United’s top scorer last season. A large part of United’s success this year depends on Rashford finding the back of the net more often. However, the pacey winger has yet to score a goal in this pre-season and will be looking to regain his mojo back in this match.

At a recent press conference, Ten Hag also asserted that Rashford can replicate last season’s form and even score more goals this season if he has the right attitude for it.

Borussia Dortmund – Sebastien Haller

The former Ajax man miraculously returned to professional football earlier this year, just months after being diagnosed with cancer. Since then, Haller has been working himself back to his best form, including a hat-trick for Dortmund in a club friendly back in January. Haller was in phenomenal form at the back end of last year’s Bundesliga.

In the last four matches, the 29-year-old has scored five goals and assisted three more as Dortmund gave Bayern Munich a run for their money.

In their last match, Haller scored a brace as the German side thrashed San Diego.
