Another exit from Manchester United has been confirmed this week as a potential loan deal for Casemiro has also been reported in the media.

The Reds had a busy summer transfer window with some popular signings, such as Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte, as well as many much-needed exits.

It follows a similar theme to what has been happening behind the scenes at Old Trafford since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team took charge.

Many key figures have left the club, and they have been replaced by best-in-class operators such as Dan Ashworth as sporting director or Omar Berrada as chief executive officer.

Reports from David Ornstein this week revealed that deputy football director Andy O’Boyle is leaving Old Trafford after two years in the post.

O’Boyle’s specific job title no longer fit into the structure after Ashworth was recruited into the newly formed sporting director role, rather than John Murtough’s previous football director role.

However, according to the report, he was heavily involved in United’s summer business and holds a strong reputation across the industry.

Meanwhile, Casemiro faced significant criticism for his performance against Liverpool on the weekend, where he was substituted at halftime after being responsible for two goals in the first half.

United had considered selling the Brazilian during the summer transfer window, but no offers came in, likely due to his substantial wage demands.

However, according to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Galatasaray have now approached Casemiro about a potential move to strengthen their midfield. The Super Lig club is reportedly in discussions with Manchester United regarding a possible year-long loan deal.

Yet, despite his recent form, Casemiro has started all four of United’s opening games this season. Even with the arrival of Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro would likely be the third-choice midfielder behind Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.

A solution would need to be found so that United is not left short in the engine room should they let Casemiro depart. It seems like a potential deal that could be revisited in January when Toby Collyer—and potentially Sekou Kone—is more established.
