Mason Greenwood was recently filmed training privately ahead of his potential return to the Manchester United squad under Erik ten Hag.

Mason Greenwood is preparing in case of his re-inclusion into United’s squad, with the player being filmed in a private training session yesterday.

Greenwood was suspended by Manchester United last year after photos and videos alleging he had domestically abused his partner surfaced on social media.

Although he was arrested and a case built against him by the Crown Prosecution Service, this case was ultimately dropped due to key witnesses not stepping forwards.

However, the cameraman who filmed the footage has taken to his YouTube channel to explain that he was “threatened with violence” by members of Greenwood’s entourage.

“‘If you weren’t surrounded by witnesses, we would rip that camera out of your hand and destroy your equipment’ was the menacing threat,” he said in his recount of the moment.

The cameraman also added that the training session took place in “a publicly accessible venue with no security” and “away from Manchester United”.

United is expected to announce Mason Greenwood’s future at the club in the coming days, ahead of the side’s first Premier League fixture of the 2023/24 season.

They will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday 14 August at Old Trafford in an evening kick-off slot.
