Marcus Rashford wins third 22/23 Premier League Player of the Month award

Marcus Rashford has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.
It is the third time Marcus Rashford has won the Premier League Player of the Month award this season having also won it in September and January earlier this season – equalling Mohamed Salah’s record of most Premier League POTM awards in a single campaign.
Rashford was in fine form in the Premier League during February, scoring in all four of Manchester United fixtures, including a brace against Leicester City.
He started the month by scoring a winning goal against Crystal Palace before scoring in back-to-back games against Leeds United, both home and away
Stretching February across all competitions, Marcus Rashford also had a stellar month.
He scored seven goals across eight appearances, also collecting two assists and won his first trophy in almost 6 years for the club, scoring in the Carabao Cup final.
Despite March starting off with an embarrassing seven-goal defeat to Liverpool, Marcus Rashford bounced back on Thursday evening to score the opening goal against Real Betis, smashing the ball into the roof of the net after six minutes to score his 26th goal of the season.
“It’s always important to win the next fixture after a loss] and it’s the only way for us to bounce back. I’m pleased to win the game,” He told BT Sport after United’s 4-1 win in the Europa League.
Looking ahead in the Premier League, Manchester United next face Southampton at Old Trafford on Sunday as Erik ten Hag will look to continue rectifying woes suffered after the defeat to Liverpool.
