A Premier League side have reportedly pulled out of the running to sign Marcus Rashford this summer due to ‘concerns’ about the Manchester United star’s recent decline.

Marcus Rashford appears poised to leave Manchester United in 2025 after revealing in a shocking interview that he is ready for a new challenge.

Once the focal point of United’s attack with a remarkable 30-goal campaign under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23, Rashford’s influence has waned. Under Rúben Amorim, he has slipped down the pecking order, with Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes now preferred in advanced positions.

Rashford’s story at Manchester United spans nearly 20 years. Bursting onto the scene as an 18-year-old, he made an unforgettable debut, scoring twice against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League, before netting another brace against Arsenal on his Premier League debut.

With United reportedly open to bids in the region of £40 million, Rashford’s departure seems imminent, marking the end of a storied chapter at Old Trafford and the beginning of a new adventure.

The race for Rashford

With Rashford set to be on the market, many have speculated as to where Rashford may end up by the close of the 2025 summer transfer window.

Although there is a chance he may leave United in January, this is currently seen as unlikely as clubs often don’t like to fork out large sums for big transfers during mid-season.

According to the information of Claret&Hugh, although West Ham have been hunting for a “top-class” forward, they have pulled out of the race to sign Rashford.

C&H, who often have insider information surrounding the Premier League side, have detailed that there are concerns with the player’s recent decline in performances, as well as the £60 million fee they say United are demanding.

Other reports have suggested that United are actually willing to entertain offers of around £40 million, although Rashford’s £350,000 a week wage would also no doubt be a big problem for West Ham.

Where can Rashford transfer to this summer?

It is more likely that Rashford will be departing United for a club in Europe, with some suggesting that his most likely destination may be Spain.

“Change would probably do him the world of good for him and his family. Maybe just go and play abroad or wherever it might be,” said club legend Roy Keane.

Barcelona have been credited with interest in the last few seasons, while those within Paris St. Germain have reportedly distanced themselves from a move.

There is also the option of Bayern Munich, where England compatriot Harry Kane is thriving. Leroy Sane is yet to sign a new deal at the German club, while Serge Gnabry has also seen a decline of late.
