Juventus set to make £34m decision that provides Marcus Rashford with ‘dream’ transfer
Barcelona are interested in signing Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window.
Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United is highly uncertain, with the possibility of a departure during the January transfer window.
In a recent interview, the English forward expressed his openness to pursuing a new challenge, and he has not featured under Rúben Amorim since then.
Rashford last appeared in United’s Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen and has been named on the bench only once in the six matches since.
As the mid-season transfer window progresses, several clubs have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old forward.
It has previously been explained that Barcelona is the ‘dream’ move for Rashford and he has since received interest from the Spanish outfit.
Reports claim that the La Liga club held meetings with Rashford’s entourage this week. They are planning to offer a loan plus buy option deal, according to Relevo.
Rashford is currently on over £300,000-per-week and United would need a club to contribute a significant amount to that if he was to move on loan.
Barcelona’s financial issues are well known and it is likely that they would need to see a player depart in order to secure the signing of Rashford and complete his registration.
Rashford’s move to Barcelona could be helped by Juventus, who are eyeing a transfer for Ronald Araujo this month.
That is according to Calciomercato, where it is claimed that the Serie A giants are “hot on the trail” of the Barcelona defender and are favourites to land his signature.
It was further claimed that the player is open to a move, however, Barcelona’s demands are around £34 million, which is higher than initially expected.
Should the Italian side be able to produce the cash for Araujo, it could open the door for Rashford’s dream move to occur this month.
