Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is expected to hold talks with Erik ten Hag ahead of next season, with two major talking points to be discussed.
Rashford, 26, had a difficult season with United last term, scoring eight goals and registering five assists.
The forward was also disciplined twice during the season as Erik ten Hag began to favour Alejandro Garnacho on the left flank.
After being left out of England’s squad for Euro 2024, Rashford will be spending the summer focusing on returning to top form next term.
According to a new report from GiveMeSport, there are expected to be discussions between Rashford and Ten Hag ahead of next season.
It was explained that the talks are to be centred around Rashford’s role in the team for next season after adjustments were made for the 2023/24 campaign.
The report stated that Ten Hag’s tactics were altered, having an impact on Rashford’s attacking play and movements, in part to accommodate the style of new striker Rasmus Højlund.
Rashford will also be focusing on how to improve his own situation, with the report claiming that he is determined to figure out the best way to return to causing problems for defenders.
The 26-year-old scored 30 goals during Ten Hag’s first season at Old Trafford, including one in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.
During that season, the attack was built around him, with loanee Wout Weghorst working to help get the best out of the winger.
He now has to adapt to working with Højlund and potentially Joshua Zirkzee, who is heavily linked with a move to the club this summer.
Rashford will be returning to Carrington next month, where he will get the opportunity to have a full pre-season before the 2024/25 season.
