Marcel Sabitzer: Why my style suits Manchester United
Marcel Sabitzer has explained his current thought process with regard to his Manchester United future after scoring his first goal for the club against Fulham and why he suits English football.
Signing for Manchester United on the final day of the January transfer window, Marcel Sabitzer was flown in to replace the injured Christian Eriksen, who was ruled out for three months with an ankle injury.
He signed for Erik ten Hag‘s reds on a six-month loan deal and has provided useful backup to both Eriksen and when Casemiro has been suspended.

He delivered the goods on Sunday afternoon, scoring the goal that handed United a late lead against nine-man Fulham in the FA Cup, booking United a place in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley stadium, where they will face Brighton.
Speaking after the tie, Sabitzer explained that he’s happy to play in multiple positions, and believes he is an asset to the type of games played in English football.
“I can play all over midfield, I think,” he told Manchester Evening News after the Fulham win. “I like to do the dirty work. I like to run, to go forward, box-to-box movements. A lot of transitions and high-intensity games are what I am having here.
“I am very happy to be part of this team, this amazing club, and I feel very welcomed. I am very happy at the moment.”
He also spoke about the decision to join United, and explained how he feels with respect to continuing his time under Ten Hag.
“I had to make a quick decision in January,” he explained. “I was focused on this, it was clear it is just a loan until the summer. I take every game as it comes – I am very happy to be here. I will give 100 per cent. Whatever happens in the summer, we will see.”
