Manchester United’s training squad ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton on Monday night has been revealed.
Now that the November international break has passed, Ruben Amorim is fully focused on preparing Manchester United for Monday night’s meeting with Everton.
United occupy seventh place in the Premier League, level on points with Tottenham in fifth, sitting a point behind Sunderland in fourth and two behind third-placed Chelsea.
After a shaky start to the season, they’ve gained momentum with a five-match unbeaten run and just one defeat in their last seven outings.
Everton, positioned 13th, have posted two wins, two losses, and a draw across their last five games. Their 2–0 setback against Fulham before the break hasn’t done much to dent morale, and David Moyes’ side remain optimistic heading into their visit to Old Trafford.
Martínez in action as United prepare for Everton
Ahead of their return to Premier League action, United’s latest training session on Friday afternoon was captured by club media as the players returned from their international duties.
Amorim’s side looked in good spirits and the mood would have been bolstered by Lisandro Martínez competing in the session. The Argentine has been in training for a couple of weeks now and could be available for selection against the Toffees.
As expected, Benjamin Šeško was absent from the session as he continues to recover from the injury he sustained before the international break. Reports suggest he will be back in action by mid-December.
Young stars such as Shea Lacey, Jack Fletcher and Diego Leon were involved in the session. Lacey has been on the verge of the first-team squad in recent months and is becoming a regular in training.
Kobbie Mainoo was not spotted in the session. He missed the game against Spurs with an injury but was expected to be back in action for the Everton clash. Harry Maguire was also not involved.
Key players such as Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes were enjoying themselves in training. The full training squad can be read below.
