Manchester United vs Wolves: Ones to watch (Premier League)
Manchester United welcome Julen Lopetegui’s Wolves side to the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday afternoon, who last week secured their Premier League status for another season.
Manchester United‘s latest bump in the road has seen Ten Hag’s men fall to successive 1-0 defeats at the hands of Brighton and West Ham. The Reds will be looking to bounce back against Wolves in more comfortable surroundings after a dismal week away from Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag‘s side have turned Old Trafford into somewhat of a fortress this season. United haven’t lost a single league game at home since the opening day of the season against Brighton and supporters will be hoping that record holds up against Wolves as Liverpool continue to apply the pressure.
Jurgen Klopp’s team now find themselves just a point behind United in the race for Champions League football, although Liverpool have played a game more.

Three wins from four are required for Manchester United in the remaining games in order to secure a top-four finish. The good news for United supporters is that three of those games are at home.
Wolves secured their Premier League status with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, taking them 10 points clear of Leicester in 18th with just three games remaining. The pressure will be off for Julen Lopetegui’s side who will make the trip to Manchester intent on putting a dent in United’s Champions League hopes.
Here are the ones to watch ahead of the game.
Manchester United – Alejandro Garnacho
United have missed the Argentine in his absence and supporters will be keen to see him back in action.
United’s no. 49 was an unused substitute in the defeat to West Ham last week but Ten Hag suggested he’s ready to play a part tomorrow in his press conference on Friday, the United boss said: “He has one more week training, definitely, so he is available and we have seen he can bring something extra in the team.”
With Marcus Rashford a major doubt, Garnacho may start tomorrow but even if he doesn’t, he’s already proven this season that he can have a major impact from the bench.
Wolves – Rúben Neves
The Wolves captain has made the difference in past fixtures against United and will be looking to make his presence known again on Saturday afternoon.
The Portuguese midfielder has been linked with a move to Barcelona and it’s no surprise. Neves has been the shining light at Wolves since he joined from FC Porto in 2017 and his move to a club ready to challenge for trophies may well finally materialise this summer.
The 26-year-old has a goal and an assist in his last three Premier League outings and United supporters will be fearing him doing that celebration this weekend.
