It has been reported that last month Marcus Rashford intervened in a nightclub earlier this month to save Swiss international and Aston Villa forward Alisha Lehmann from being swamped by a ‘mob of blokes’.

Marcus Rashford has become a talisman for Manchester United this season, scoring 29 goals and putting in some of the finest performances of his career across the last nine months – most recently assisting in a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

He has been a shining light during Erik ten Hag‘s first season at United, finding his calling both down the left-hand flank and through the middle.

According to The Sun, Rashford was out with a group of friends earlier this month when he saw Aston Villa’s Alisha Lehmann enter the club.

Lehmann and her company were immediately surrounded by a group of men when Marcus Rashford then intervened to make sure Lehmann got away safely.

A source from Chinawhite in Manchester told The Sun: “Marcus cleared a table and invited her and her friends to join them.

“It was the first time they’d met but he knew who Alisha was.

“They exchanged a few words and she thanked him then they carried on partying with their separate sets of friends.

“She thought he was a gent.”

Lehmann, who wears the No. 7 jersey for Aston Villa, most recently faced Manchester United, where a last-minute winning header from Millie Turner handed United a 3-2 victory to further strengthen their position on top of the league table.

With just three fixtures of the season remaining, United currently sit three points clear of Manchester City in second – although Chelsea in third currently have three games in hand on the two sides above them in the table, and are seven points behind.

Should they win the league, it would spell the first time this Manchester United Women’s team have won the Women’s Super League and would be a historic moment for the club.
