Tuesday 20 June saw various developments on the transfer front for Manchester United, including contract news on Marcus Rashford, goalkeeper updates and various departure information.

Whilst Erik ten Hag’s side are yet to sign a player this window, we’ve heard news from several reliable sources – all compiled within this article. Here is the latest on United.

Arrivals

Harry Kane still hopes United will resurrect their bid to sign him this summer if Daniel Levy lowers his £100 million demand. United have made it clear that they will not do business at £100m for Harry Kane but a price closer to £80 milion could tempt United back to the negotiating table. (Chris Wheeler, Mail)

Harry Kane’s clear preference is United and he hopes that Daniel Levy will relent rather than have to write off £80 million. However, the feeling on all sides is that Levy will stick to his guns. (Chris Wheeler, Mail)

United are increasingly hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Marcus Rashford. Sources say they are hopeful there will be a formal announcement sooner rather than later. It is likely to be in excess of £300,000-a-week. (Samuel Luckhurst, MEN)

United have an interest in Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Rasmus Hojlund, Randal Kolo Muani and Lautaro Martinez but so far have been hampered by their budget restrictions and what they believe to be unrealistic valuations. (Rob Dawson, ESPN)

United are now in the market for a new no.1 goalkeeper as opposed to a competitor to David de Gea. (Samuel Luckhurst, MEN)

United and Real Madrid have both spoken to Inter about wing-back Federico Dimarco, as they face huge pressure to sell this summer. While there has been some surprise that United are in for Dimarco, they are considering a deal for a few reasons. Ten Hag thinks he can use him in a few different ways as he seeks to deepen the variability and speed of his squad next season. (Miguel Delaney, Independent)

Romeo Lavia is most likely to join Arsenal but the development of the deal has created a flurry of interest. Among others, United are also monitoring movements. Southampton want at least £45 million. The Reds have other priorities but are re-assessing their options due to the high price of a striker, and Lavia is seen as one of those precocious talents that could solve a team position for years to come. (Miguel Delaney, Independent)

United and Bayern Munich have held talks for Randal Kolo Muani in recent weeks. Ten Hag is leading the talks but the takeover saga could slow down the process. (Loic Tanzi)

United have always been candidates to sign Porto’s Diogo Costa – the problem is that there’s no final decision on De Gea’s future, and the market surveys from United for Costa had a limit of £30 million. (Record)

United have been interested in André Onana for 2 months. Inter want £51m for the goalkeeper, although this could change in the future as time passes. (Alfredo Pedulla)

United are monitoring Andre Onana but Inter Milan are waiting to hear what United’s intentions are and whether the interest is concrete. Should things advance, Inter have already held talks with Guglielmo Vicario, who would be their first-choice replacement. (Gianluca Di Marzio)

United would look to meet Atalanta at middle ground regarding Rasmus Hojlund. A deal of around £60 million could fit into the structure and it is understood intermediaries will explore that possibility. (Dean Jones, GiveMeSport)

It is understood a centre-back, full-back, two midfielders and a striker were already wanted by United coming into this summer – but now they are having to contemplate a new goalkeeper too. (Dean Jones, GiveMeSport)

Departures

United have agreed a deal to sell Zidane Iqbal to FC Utrecht. The proposed transfer would see Iqbal move to the Dutch side for a fee of up to €1 million. A significant sell-on clause for United has been included in the contract. (David Ornstein, The Athletic)

PSG have expressed an interest in the past while Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino are both admirers but Marcus Rashford was always keen to remain at Old Trafford as long as he felt the club could match his ambition. (Rob Dawson, ESPN)

David de Gea’s contract at United, which runs out at the end of June, may not be renewed. (Samuel Luckhurst, MEN)

Fulham want to sign Fred – United are understood to want a fee of £20 million for the midfielder but that is certainly more than Fulham are prepared to pay. They hope that a compromise can be reached given he is for sale. (Jason Burt, Telegraph)

The sale of Scott McTominay is regarded as less of a priority than Fred. Ten Hag is prepared to keep the 26-year-old although he has drawn interest from a number of Premier League clubs. (Jason Burt, Telegraph)
