Manchester United handed mammoth £30m transfer boost as Manuel Ugarte deal progresses
Manchester United have been handed a mammoth £30 million transfer boost as a deal for Manuel Ugarte starts to push closer.
Manchester United are set to continue reshaping their squad this summer after spending £139 million on Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui.
The club have already recouped over £55 million through the sales of players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, among others.

With the transfer window closing in less than two weeks, United is looking to further strengthen by targeting a new midfielder and possibly a left-back. Manuel Ugarte is reportedly keen on a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford.
According to a new report from the Manchester World, talks surrounding the transfer of Ugarte from PSG have progressed, and the Premier League club are pushing ahead with the deal.
According to the report, there is now hope within Old Trafford that his signature will be secured before the 30 August deadline, although PSG’s reluctance to budge from their high asking price, between £50-60 million, has stalled negotiations.
With this in mind, United have also been handed a huge boost that would see them free up many funds for the summer following Fulham’s reentering in talks for Scott McTominay.
Fulham have already seen bids for £17 million and £20 million rejected for the Scotland international this summer and have reportedly returned to the table and are now willing to pay United’s asking price of £30 million.
This would free up a brilliant amount of space for the club in the market, as McTominay’s transfer would be considered pure profit, meaning it gives them plenty of FFP breathing room.
United were already planning on signing at least one midfielder regardless of sales, but should McTominay go for that price point, they may choose to sign two.
