Manchester United have reportedly changed their stance on Jadon Sancho’s transfer status as Juventus are handed a boost in fresh negotiations for the winger.

Manchester United are pushing forward with their summer transfer plans, having invested £139 million in securing Joshua ZirkzeeLeny YoroMatthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui.

To help balance these acquisitions, the club have garnered over £55 million from the exits of Aaron Wan-BissakaMason GreenwoodWilly Kambwala, among others.

With less than two weeks remaining in the transfer window, United are keen to add a new midfielder to their squad, although they have ruled out signing another left-back. Interest is particularly high in Manuel Ugarte, who is reportedly eager to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

To fund these new additions, United are set to sanction multiple sales during the final week or so of the window, with Jadon Sancho’s future very much undecided.

After being banished from the team last year, Sancho has somewhat rebuilt his relationship with Erik ten Hag and has been reintegrated into the first-team squad, playing a big role in pre-season.

However, on all accounts, it has been said that he is still up for sale for the right price, with this reportedly set at around £40 million – but reports from Italy have claimed that United are now softening their stance.

While a sale seemed to be the only option, the Italian outlet La Repubblica are now reporting that United would now be open to a loan with an obligation to buy, with Juventus returning to the table for talks on Monday.

After initially ruling out the singing, Juventus are said to be “back on track” to secure the 24-year-old this summer, but they want a loan deal with an option to buy rather than an obligation.

United being open to an initial loan deal is a big boost for Juventus, who have previously expressed a hesitancy to pay the £40 million demand for Sancho.

While it is not stated what United would request for this option or obligation clause as part of the loan, it can be assumed that this would sit around the region of around £40 million.
