Manchester United are on the verge of completing their third attacking signing, having reached an agreement in principle to sign Benjamin Šeško.
Manchester United continue to push forward in the transfer market, having secured deals for Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, while Benjamin Šeško is nearing a move following positive negotiations with RB Leipzig.
United are set to have a new front three with Mbeumo, Cunha, and soon-to-sign Šeško. Manager Rúben Amorim has decided that Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford are not part of his plans, clearing the way for fresh options in attack.
The new signings will join Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee to boost United’s goal threat.
After a poor scoring record last season, Amorim hopes this new-look attack will bring more goals and help turn things around.
Mbeumo is United’s close match to Salah
United have named Michael Sansoni as their new Director of Data. He joins from the Mercedes Formula 1 team and takes on his first role in football. Sansoni replaces Dominic Jordan, who left last summer after building up the club’s data department.
Jordan helped United start using data in areas like scouting and coaching. Now, Sansoni is expected to build on that work and bring fresh ideas from his time in F1, as the club continues to modernise behind the scenes.
One of the first players highlighted under Sansoni’s leadership is Bryan Mbeumo. While scouts rated him highly, the data team also showed strong numbers in key areas like movement, finishing, and goal involvement.
According to MailSport, the stats revealed that Mbeumo is the closest match to Mohamed Salah among all available forwards in Europe. That insight helped United push ahead with the signing, hoping he can deliver similar attacking quality.
When Šeško is set to be revealed
United have made smarter signings this summer. Instead of going for big names, they picked players who fit Amorim’s style and the team’s needs.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha bring speed, skill, and creativity to the attack. The data shows Mbeumo is very similar to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. Cunha adds good movement and helps create chances.
Benjamin Šeško is the third new player. He is strong and has an impressive goal return. Along with Højlund and Zirkzee, United now have more options up front.
Šeško will be introduced to fans this Saturday at Old Trafford when United play Fiorentina in their last pre-season game before the Premier League starts. With these new players, United hope to score more goals and improve on the disastrous previous season.
