Manchester United star told he ‘has to leave’ this summer after falling out with Rúben Amorim

One Manchester United star has been told he must leave the club this summer after he fell out with Rúben Amorim.

Manchester United have just suffered their worst season in Premier League history, finishing in a measly 15th place, with just 42 points and only 44 goals scored.

Rúben Amorim couldn’t replicate the form of his Sporting CP team at Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag’s departure, with the transition to his system proving difficult.

Fans have called for several players to leave the club, with almost every player underperforming in the league and in the Europa League final.

Some players have regained credit over the course of the season, most notably Casemiro, who was withdrawn at half-time against Liverpool at the beginning of the season for Toby Collyer, due to his poor performance.

However, some players, who were once considered fan favourites, have been called to leave after their poor seasons in front of goal, but some players’ off-the-pitch actions have proven to be the biggest problem at United.

Strachan calls for Garnacho’s exit

Speaking to Esports Insider, former United player Gordon Strachan has stated that he believes Alejandro Garnacho needs to leave the club due to his attitude this season, following the player being informed by Amorim in front of the squad that he can find a new club this summer.

“Garnacho’s got to go,” said Strachan. “I think he shows a lack of maturity and needs a real wake-up call. Manchester United are far too good of a club to listen to him whingeing and whining all the time.”

“You wonder what the players at Manchester United are thinking about Alejandro Garnacho’s actions. He should be looking after his teammates after they lost the Europa League final, not promoting himself with his comments.”

The former Scotland manager added: “If he doesn’t want to be a team player, then I think it’s best he just goes somewhere else. If the manager decides he’s not picking you, you’ve got to think of the reason, and quite often that starts by looking at yourself.”

“In life, the best thing to do when something isn’t going your way, or you have issues, is to look at yourself and think whether it stems from you. It’s rare that players take that stance anymore, and look at themselves before whining about their problems.”

United have to reinvest Garnacho funds

Unfortunately for fans of the No.17, a Garnacho sale is looking more and more likely by the day, due to his relationship with Amorim, rather than his performances on the pitch.

If he is to leave this summer, the money United raise for his services should be reinvested into the squad in another area, likely for a striker signing.

Matheus Cunha looks set to join the Red Devils for just over £60 million, and he played his best football at Wolverhampton Wanderers when playing on the left of the 3-4-2-1 system, where Garnacho played the majority of his minutes.

Therefore, a direct replacement for Garnacho isn’t needed, with Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo also options in that position, but signing another attacking option is a must.
