Manchester United star has made ‘lasting impression’ at Carrington as Ruben Amorim appreciation explained
One Manchester United star has made a ‘lasting impression’ at Carrington as Ruben Amorim’s appreciation for the player has been explained.
Ruben Amorim has started working with his Manchester United squad this week on the grass at Carrington after he received visa approval over the weekend.
He is now preparing for the first Premier League outing against Ipswich Town on Sunday ahead of a busy winter period for the club.
One player who could provide very useful is 19-year-old Leny Yoro, who is still yet to make his competitive debut for the club after signing in the summer.
Yoro is one of the most highly-rated defenders in Europe and it was considered a major coup when United convinced him to join the club over Real Madrid.
After sustaining a foot injury in pre-season, the Frenchman is closing in on a return and participated in Amorim’s first session with the squad.
According to a new report from GiveMeSport, Yoro has impressed staff at Carrington with his ‘first-class attitude’ throughout his rehabilitation.
The centre-back has made a ‘lasting impression’ with how he has conducted himself behind the scenes to return to full fitness and fight for a place in Amorim’s team.
It was further explained that the teenager is considered as an ‘excellent fit’ for the new system which Amorim plans to implement and he is now within touching distance of making a return to the pitch.
This follows on from claims from Fabrizio Romano that the new head coach at Old Trafford ‘loves’ Yoro.
Amorim uses a back-three system in which the wide centre-backs are tasked with covering a lot of space and being comfortable defending wide channels. Yoro suits that role the most out of any defender in the squad.
The report finalised that Yoro is ‘desperate to repay the faith shown in him’ by those at United, who worked closely with him during his recovery.
Fans could finally get to see him on the pitch very soon, and it looks like he could be very useful for the new system under Amorim.
