Manchester United star ’employs new agent’ to force transfer exit this summer after Rúben Amorim comments

According to a fresh report, one Manchester United player has employed a new agent with the specific task of engineering a move to La Liga this summer.

Manchester United are bracing for one of their most dramatic summers in years, with Rúben Amorim set to rip up the current squad and start anew at Old Trafford.

Backed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS hierarchy, the club are preparing to axe at least ten senior players in a bold attempt to raise funds and reshape the identity of the team.

Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf, and Jonny Evans will depart when their contracts expire, while high-profile names like Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho are all on the chopping block — with sales potentially topping £100 million.

Even the futures of key figures like Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho hang in the balance, as United weigh ruthless decisions in pursuit of a new era.

Rashford makes fresh transfer move amid summer exit

With Rashford’s sale a priority at United, the player himself has been mulling over his options while on loan at Aston Villa and has landed on Barcelona as his preferred destination this summer.

According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the 27-year-old has enlisted the help of representative Pini Zahavi to engineer a move to the La Liga side this summer amid the agent’s close ties with Barcelona.

Zahavi currently represents Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski and manager Hansi Flick, and has a good relationship with the club and their president, Joan Laporta.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Rashford believes enlisting Zahavi will help the player orchestrate his desired move to the Catalan club. He is willing to lower his wage demands to secure the transfer, and contact has already been initiated.

However, Mundo Deportivo further comments that they believe the move is more likely to be a loan instead of a permanent deal if it goes through, although they feel this is a deal that United are unlikely to accept.

What Amorim said about Rashford’s United future

Rashford’s current contract with Villa contains the option for the Premier League side to sign the player for £40 million, although it’s thought that Rashford’s current wage package may be out of the club’s reach.

Therefore, it is becoming increasingly likely that the Birmingham club may forgo the option to sign him permanently, meaning he will return to United.

Amorim was recently questioned about Rashford’s potential return, to which he explained that the club will make a final decision on his future once they return, but that he is happy to see United’s loan players such as Rashford and Antony, thriving away from Old Trafford.

“I know Rashford really well and everybody knows the talent that he has,” Amorim said of Rashford’s form at Villa in March. “So I already spoke about that. He’s a top player, if he wants. So I’m not surprised.

“And like I said, it’s the same with Antony, it’s a good thing. We see our players doing well on loan in a different context. That can happen and it’s a good sign for the club… We are really happy for our players that are on loan doing well.”
