Despite this, United need to bring in defensive reinforcements, especially with Wan-Bissaka’s contract set to expire in 2025. Additionally, there has also reportedly been interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan in Wan-Bissaka’s services.

With this in mind, United are believed to have identified Raoul Bellanova, 23, as a potential replacement for the departing defender.

Locking down a starting role in a mid-table Serie A team in Torino, Bellanova has frequently been used as a right wing-back throughout this season.

Picking up four goal contributions in his last six Serie A games, Bellanova is believed to have many admirers, with United firmly amongst those interested in the Italian’s weekly performances.

The report from Italian outfit Tuttosport notes that United have sent scouts to watch Bellanova ‘multiple times’ this season, with Premier League rivals Aston Villa also sending scouts to watch the wing-back.

The Torino defender signed for the club in July of 2023 for £6.1 million from fellow Serie A side Cagliari. Additionally, if Belanova is to sign for United, then he will be no stranger to United keeper Andre Onana, as Bellanova spent last season on loan at Inter Milan, where, like Onana, he was part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the Champions League.
