Manchester United scouts are “buzzing” about key Tyler Dibling trait which is missing from Ruben Amorim’s squad

Manchester United are among a host of admirers interested in signing Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United aren’t the only club enduring a miserable Premier League campaign, as Southampton are on course to become one of the worst teams in the competition’s history.

Currently rooted to the bottom of the table, the Saints have collected just nine points from 29 matches and are destined for relegation back to the Championship.

Despite their struggles, Tyler Dibling has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the league, attracting reported interest from United and other clubs.

The youngster has featured in 30 games this season, registering four goals and two assists. He particularly caught the eye during Southampton’s 3-2 defeat to United earlier in the campaign.

United scouts are buzzing about key Dibling trait

Fresh information from MailSport this week revealed that United scouts were in attendance to watch Dibling play for England U19s against Wales last week. It was also noted that 14 Premier League clubs have inquired about the youngsters situation ahead of the summer.N

Nathan Salt, one of the reporters on that story, has provided further details about why Dibling is impressing those at Old Trafford.

Speaking to the Stretford Paddock, the journalist noted that United scouts are “buzzing” about the dribbling ability of the 19-year-old, who is completing an average of 2.34 take-ons per 90 minutes this season.

“United had multiple scouts there watching, and the word I was getting back is that they were buzzing about Dibling and his ability as a dribbler, as a ball carrier,” Salt explained.

“There’s been a lot of noise around Dibling… he’s a young English player that is a great dribbler and, I mean, they are less spotted nowadays because often it’s coached out of these players.

“Scouts are buzzing about Dibling right now, and I do think Jason Wilcox [is] a huge admirer of him. He knows him through Southampton.

“I think that is a real goer and a piece of business that you think could be really shrewd. He’s versatile, he’s young, he’s homegrown, and he’s a player that is very coachable.”

Amorim will want more ball carriers at United

One of the most notable aspects of Amorim’s exciting Sporting team was the fact that players were able to unsettle opposition through their ball carrying.

With the wingbacks high and wide, those two no.10s could receive the ball on the half-turn and move the play forward through their quick feet and one-on-one ability.

That isn’t something many United players have in their locker. Even the club’s best player, Bruno Fernandes, is much better at unsettling the opposition with his passing, rather than dribbling past players with the ball.

Having players who can completely change the dynamics of an attack by beating a man or moving through the thirds with the ball cannot be underestimated and is needed to make the most out of Amorim’s system, which makes it unsurprising that it is the attribute from Dibling. highlighted by United scouts.

Whether it comes through the signing of Dibling or another player, an improvement in ball carrying and dribbling is definitely something Amorim will be wanting more of in his team next season.
