Manchester United sale update as Erik ten Hag expects answer soon
Erik ten Hag is reportedly expecting an answer on the potential sale of Manchester United within the next week.
This is according to Simon Mullock of The Mirror, who claims that Erik ten Hag is due an update on the sale of Manchester United now that the season is coming to a close.
Co-owner of the club, Avram Glazer, is expected to be in attendance for Manchester United’s FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, with his club the subject of two mammoth bids.
British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim have both tabled several bids for the club over the last few months, with each bid rumoured to have valued the club at around £5 billion.

Although it is unclear how long Avram Glazer is expecting to stay in England during his trip for the FA Cup final, it is expected that he will deliver an update to Ten Hag on the progress of the sale before the summer window opens.
Ten Hag has been informed that he will be given a clearer picture of how far along the sale process is and if the Glazer family plan to accept a bid or remain in control.
Multiple rumours have laid out that Ten Hag is targeting a new first-team No. 9, a midfielder, a new centre-back, and a goalkeeper to rival David de Gea in goal.
De Gea is yet to agree on a new contract with the club as he enters the final year of his current deal, with the club said to have offered him reduced wages.
With Erik ten Hag keen to continue his rebuild of Manchester United, he is said to be “desperate” to focus on signing the right players – something which cannot be done until the sale process has concluded and a final decision has been reached.
Manchester United are expected to have around £100 million to spend this window before player sales, with Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire, and Donny van de Beek among those expected to leave.
Harry Kane has been pinpointed as the top target for the window, although it is expected that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will play hard ball with his sale.
Spanish media claimed on Friday that Real Madrid are interested in Harry Kane.
