Manchester United are closing in on a move for 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro but could also be about to do some important business elsewhere.

The Reds are moving forward with the Yoro deal after he verbally agreed to personal terms following Lille’s acceptance of a £52 million package for the defender.

The 18-year-old centre-back is currently in Manchester and will undergo a medical at Carrington on Wednesday before the deal is finalised.

United are still interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt but reports claim that sales will need to be made first.

INEOS have done an excellent job with the Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee deals but now must focus on getting more players out of the door. Mason Greenwood is expected to exit the club this week.

However, there have been two important updates on other United players who could exit and fetch the club some important cash.

According to TalkSPORT, West Ham are in advanced talks with United over a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the Reds willing to sell the defender for over £15 million this summer.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports have reported that Fulham are weighing up whether to make another offer for Scott McTominay.

The Cottagers saw United reject an opening bid of around £17 million for the Scotsman earlier this summer, with their valuation being around £30 million.

However, with McTominay entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, it seems like it would make sense for United to accept anything over £25 million for him.

These two potential deals could provide an important boost of around £40 million for United, especially considering a transfer for McTominay would be pure profit on the club’s books.

Alongside an additional centre-back alongside Yoro, the Reds will also be looking to strengthen their midfield and left-back areas this summer.
