Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for their first summer sale as Rúben Amorim finally receives summer funding.
Manchester United are set for a significant squad shake-up this summer following a disappointing season and the absence of European competition.
Rúben Amorim plans to allocate his transfer budget towards moves for Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, with further signings reliant on player departures.
A number of players are expected to leave, including loanees Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, though the club is struggling to attract suitable offers.
Jadon Sancho is nearing a transfer to Juventus, while Alejandro Garnacho is also likely to move on, with the winger aiming to remain in the Premier League.
Agreement reached with Juventus for Sancho
With United aiming to increase sales to boost their summer spending funds, it appears that Amorim will finally get his wish for some players to be sold before the pre-season, as United draw closer to sending Sancho to Juventus.
According to Italian transfer specialist Alfredo Pedula, an agreement between Juventus and the Old Trafford club has been reached in principle for a transfer fee of around £21.5 million, with the player close to finalising on personal terms.
Further, it is claimed by Corriere dello Sport that the transfer fee that will likely be finalised is an initial fee of £21.5 million plus add-ons, as United want the total fee to amount to around £26 million.
Corriere dello Sport also adds that personal terms are close to being finalised, with Sancho willing to take a wage cut.
United can still save their summer
After a flurry of activity on the opening week of the summer window that saw United agree a final fee for Cunha, Bruno Fernandes announce he was staying despite Saudi Arabian interest, and Mbeumo indicating his preference was to join United, it has been underwhelming.
Amorim wanted the majority of his key signings through the door by the time pre-season training started, and although Cunha and the new teenage signing, Diego Leon, will both take part, the head coach does not have a new striker and Mbeumo through the door.

However, there is still time to finalise these deals. United fly for their first pre-season fixture, a clash against Leeds United in Stockholm, late next week, leaving the club around two weeks to offload their unwanted players and secure new signings.
Then, they depart to the United States to face Everton, Bournemouth, and West Ham, and are set to face Fiorentina on the final weekend before the Premier League season begins.
United have a few more weeks of wiggle room to get their necessary signings over the line, but after most of June seemed somewhat wasted on two failed bids for Mbeumo, they must get their act together.
