Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement for a ‘valuable’ loan deal this summer after Ruben Amorim made a personal request to the board.
Manchester United are intensifying their search for attacking reinforcements this summer after a dismal 2024/25 season that saw them finish 15th in the Premier League and fall short in the Europa League final.
The team struggled in front of goal, with Bruno Fernandes topping the scoring charts with just 19 goals. Amad and Alejandro Garnacho followed with 11 each, but no player managed to reach the 20-goal milestone.
To address these attacking deficiencies, United have turned to the transfer market. Matheus Cunha has completed a £62.5 million switch to Old Trafford, while Bryan Mbeumo is also nearing a move.
Ruben Amorim remains on the lookout for additional firepower, though one option is now off the table after Liam Delap completed a transfer to Chelsea.
As always under INEOS, the Reds have been able to secure a youthful option in that position who may not enter the first-team picture immediately.
United reach agreement for Kana-Biyik loan
United recently secured the signing of Le Havre talent Enzo Kana-Biyik and it follows a trend of the club bringing in talented youngsters who can become first-team regulars with some development.
The 18-year-old centre-forward will join the club soon and then the Reds have made the decision to allow him to leave on loan for next season.
German reporter Christopher Michel has suggested that a deal with INEOS-owned Lausanne-Sport for a loan is already agreed.
“Talent Enzo Kana-Biyik will be loaned out for one season. The next club is Lausanne,” the journalist wrote on X earlier this week.
“They finished fifth & play Conference-League-Qualifikation. He should gain valuable minutes there, develop and, at best, score his first goals.”
Amorim makes request to United board
This follows on from Amorim’s personal request to those in charge at United to bolster their setup with a specific addition.
According to recent report United are showing interest in Acacio Valentim, with Amorim pushing for the club to secure his arrival ahead of the new season.
United are already in talks with the former SC Braga director and there is optimism that a deal will be finalised in the coming weeks, with negotiations between the two parties progressing positively.
Valentim previously served as Team Operations Director at SC Braga—Amorim’s former club—and is highly regarded within Portuguese football.
He has also held a role at Sporting CP, the club closely associated with many of United’s current coaching staff.
