After looking likely to join the Turkish outfit, Jadon Sancho’s transfer saga has taken another twist with a Serie A giant reigniting their interest in the Englishman.
Jadon Sancho’s spell at Manchester United has been disappointing for both player and club, and a permanent separation this summer now seems inevitable.
Many United supporters believed that the moment had arrived when Chelsea agreed to take Sancho on loan with an obligation to buy. However, the London club ultimately opted to pay a £5 million penalty fee to avoid making the deal permanent.
In recent weeks, Sancho’s representatives have been actively exploring options for a summer transfer, with Fenerbahçe emerging as one of the latest clubs to express interest in the 25-year-old winger.
With the club now pivoting to signing Jhon Durán from Al-Nassr, the 25-year-old will have to look elsewhere, but he has now given the green light to join Serie A giants Juventus.
Sancho set for Serie A move
Talks had progressed between Sancho’s camp and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, with the 25-year-old accepting the Turkish side’s wage offer before the opportunity to sign Durán appeared.
But in a fresh twist of events reported by journalist Giovanni Albanese on YouTube, Man United are close to agreeing a deal with Juventus for the want-away winger, with Sancho approving the move to Turin.
As with all of his potential suitors, his wages have been a major sticking point in any negotiations, with Sancho currently earning around £8.5 million per year.
Juventus could gather the funds from selling players such as Nico Gonzalez, whose saved wages would go towards a deal.
There are still several details to iron out, though, for any potential move. Both the transfer fee and Sancho’s salary still need to be negotiated for any deal.
United need permanent sales
Players such as Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are among the players who look increasingly likely to move on, and it would be in everyone’s best interest for these situations to be resolved swiftly.
While the club clearly benefits from early clarity, the players themselves should also be eager to secure moves in time to complete a full pre-season with their new teams.

The main problem Amorim faces is that many of his wanted-away players are linked to loan moves rather than permanent deals. Real Betis want Antony back on loan, and Barcelona would rather loan Rashford than buy him permanently this summer.
Following the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo, United will need to prioritise outgoings, with Sancho, Garnacho, Rashford, and Antony believed to be the primary candidates for sale.
