Manchester United ‘make one demand clear’ during Juventus video call about Jadon Sancho deal

Manchester United have made ‘one demand clear’ to Juventus during their video call in the week, as they try to edge closer to the departure of Jadon Sancho.

With Manchester United being in the midst of a huge summer clear-out, Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Jadon Sancho is not a part of his future plans.

The 25-year-old winger spent the 2024/25 campaign with Premier League rivals Chelsea, where he contributed to 15 goals as the Blues won the Europa Conference League.

Despite this, Enzo Maresca’s side decided against signing Sancho permanently, and instead paid £5 million to send the Englishman back to Old Trafford.

Now that Amorim is looking to the likes of Matheus Cunha and, hopefully, soon Bryan Mbeumo to rid his side of their attacking troubles, it is obvious that he is happy to part ways with their £73 million man.

United ready to compromise with Juventus

Earlier in the week, it was reported by Gianluca di Marzio that United and Juventus were to set have a video call to discuss a potential deal for Sancho.

The English winger has become an increasingly important target to the Bianconeri, and TuttoSport have reported, via SportWitness, that a video conference took place between the two sides.

The Italian juggernauts were informed of the £21 million fee for Sancho, but the Red Devils made it clear that they are willing to compromise on payment methods for the deal.

Despite Juventus’ keen interest, they are facing competition from Fenerbahce, who can afford the player’s £12.8 million per season wages. United would prefer to sell to the Turkish side due to better payment methods.

Sancho’s opinion matters most

Although United would rather sell Sancho to Turkey, the 25-year-old’s opinion is going to be the key factor, and he has shown that he wants to take his time to make a decision he is most comfortable with.

Amorim will be desperate for his attacking headache to soon come to an end, with all of Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho set to depart this summer.

It will be important for United that Amorim doesn’t have to deal with the off-the-pitch circus that he was so often exposed to last campaign, as it will allow him to devote his full attention to his first full season at Old Trafford.

If United can get some of their controversial attackers off the books in the coming months, then it could open the door to some exciting signings as they look to get back to winning ways.
