Manchester United are likely to reject a final offer for one of their players this week and their stance has been made clear.
Manchester United have had a productive transfer window but more business is expected in the final days this week.
Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon have been signed to bolster the squad at Ruben Amorim’s disposal.
It is also being reported that the Reds are on the verge of agreeing a £16 million deal to sign 23-year-old goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
But the majority of business which still needs to be done are outgoings, with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Antony still waiting on moves.
United likely to reject ‘final offer’ for “incredible” star
Antony had a successful loan spell at Real Betis in the second half of last season and it seemed clear that he would push to return to the La Liga side this summer.
But they have not even attempted to sign him permanently and are instead pushing to try and secure the ‘incredible’ Brazilian on another loan spell this season.
The latest reports from ElDesmarque have stated that Betis proposed a new loan for Antony this week, and that this will be their final offer for the player.
Following on from this, The Athletic have claimed that United are expected to hold firm on only considering a permanent sale rather than another loan for Antony.
This suggests that Betis’ supposed final offer will be rejected by the Reds but it remains to be seen whether they will be pressured into making a permanent offer in the final hours of the window.
Clubs expect United to panic this week
United could have easily had the likes of Antony and Garnacho out of the door early in the window if they lowered their demands and accepted more loan moves or lower fees.
They have held firm so far but that doesn’t really mean much as these clubs expect them to panic in the final days of the window.

Betis are clearly hoping for that but now is the time for United to try and change the perception of them in the market, even if that means some of these players remain at the club.
For Antony, it could cost him a place in the World Cup next year and he should be reminded of that before the transfer deadline.
