Manchester United learn Jadon Sancho to Juventus change amid ‘formal offer’ expected today

Manchester United have learned about a change in Jadon Sancho’s potential exit as Juventus are reportedly preparing a formal offer for another target.

Jadon Sancho is among five Manchester United players expected to leave the club this summer, following new manager Ruben Amorim’s decision to exclude him from his plans.

As pre-season gets underway, players have begun returning to Carrington, with new signing Matheus Cunha joining up with the majority of his teammates.

However, Sancho—along with Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho—has been instructed to stay away from first-team activities while the club explores potential transfers.

Sancho has not featured for United since the summer of 2024, when he was loaned to Chelsea after a fallout with then-manager Erik ten Hag. Although Chelsea had an obligation to make the move permanent for £25 million, they instead paid £5 million to terminate the agreement.

Juventus have shown strong interest in signing the winger this summer and are currently in talks with United, having reportedly submitted an official bid for the player, although there has been a slight change in the situation.

Sancho to Juventus change as formal bid expected for Conceicao

After a reported bid of around £13 million for Sancho was submitted, Juventus are now set to make a formal offer for Portuguese winger Francisco Conceicao today (Tuesday, 15 July).

That’s according to Sky Italia, who claim that Juventus will put a £25 million bid on the table for the Porto star and that there is ‘constant contact’ between the two clubs.

It was added that Sancho is considered the Italian team’s alternative target on the wings but reports have also explained that there is a chance both signings happen.

The same reporter from that story, Gianluca Di Marzio, has recently claimed that Juventus could sign both Sancho and Conceicao this summer if an extra winger leaves the club.

That means that, even if Conceicao arrives in Turin, there is still a chance that they sign Sancho but it will depend on their ability to sell an attacking player.

United sale struggles continue

While a move isn’t completely ruled out, it does seem like Juventus’ chances of signing Sancho if their Conceicao bid is accepted is significantly lower.

It would also likely not happen until towards the end of the transfer window and United need to make sales now. Some would say that they should have simply accepted Juventus’ lowball bid.

Clubs in Turkey have had reported interest in Sancho, as well as those in the Saudi Pro League, but those rumours went quiet once it became clear that Juventus were frontrunners.

Sancho is not the only United player who is struggling to be sold. As of yet, there has been no bids for Garnacho, Rashford, Antony or Malacia either and United are dependent on sales to make more signings.
