Manchester United has received an important £12 million transfer boost ahead of the summer deadline day later this week.

The Reds are looking to complete their last pieces of business for Erik ten Hag’s squad in the coming weeks, following the recent signings of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee were secured earlier this summer, and United’s focus has now shifted to improving their midfield.

Manuel Ugarte is the top target to boost the midfield at Old Trafford, and an agreement has been reached between United and PSG for the midfielder.

Business elsewhere in England could be useful for United in the coming days as they look to sell some more players

According to a report from The Athletic, Liverpool are working to complete the signing of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa before the deadline.

It was explained that the Premier League outfit could secure the signing of the 26-year-old for around £12 million, since there is just one year remaining on his deal.

This could provide an important boost for United, who are looking to move Jadon Sancho on before the window closes.

Juventus and Chelsea are both interested in the 24-year-old winger, but the Italians are trying to sign him on a straight loan deal.

That does not make sense for United whatsoever, and Chelsea’s swap deal offer, which includes Raheem Sterling, is not exactly attractive either.

A loan with an obligation to buy the player next summer could work, and with the extra cash influx through Chiesa’s exit, Juventus may be able to adjust their offer.
