Manchester United fans are thrilled after one “incredible” transfer target has all but confirmed his move to Old Trafford this summer.

The focus must shift toward securing top-tier signings — with Matheus Cunha being the priority signing — while also clearing out a number of underperforming players in the coming months.

Cunha all but confirms United move
Many supporters are delighted with the idea that Cunha could be moving to Old Trafford. He scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season, seven more than any of United’s players.
Goalscoring has been a huge issue for Amorim’s side and all the reports suggest that Cunha is on the verge of completing his move to the club.
But it has been the player’s own comments this week which have all but confirmed the transfer, and United fans are excited about it.
Speaking to Portuguese media, as per MailSport, the 26-year-old was asked if he had spoken to Amorim. He said: “Talking about him is easy, I think he’s a great coach and I wish him nothing but the best. I hope he conquers the world as he did Portugal.”
Cunha was then asked whether they would ‘conquers the world’ alongside the Portuguese head coach. “Well, God willing, we’ll always do our best to help,” he smiled.
Cunha is the kind of signing United rarely make
There is a good reason that United fans are excited about this transfer. For the first time in a long while, United are bringing in a Premier League-proven forward at the peak of their powers.
Mason Mount was the last player who United signed from the division as a main signing but his injuries over his last year at Chelsea have continued into his career at Old Trafford.

Instead, Cunha is coming off the back of his best season in the Premier League, he can score goals – including some ‘incredible’ ones – and fits perfectly into the system which he’s coming into. It is a smart signing and the kind of one which United have rarely made.
Of course, there are never any guarantees in football but United are finally starting to try and limit the chances of failure, which is a good start.
