Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI vs Leeds as Diego Leon decision made (pre-season)

Rúben Amorim has selected his first XI for Manchester United’s 2025 pre-season schedule, with Matheus Cunha handed his unofficial debut.

Manchester United are set to get their pre-season underway with a fixture against Leeds United in Stockholm, Sweden.

After finishing 15th in the Premier League last term, Rúben Amorim’s side have put together a testing run of games to build momentum ahead of the 2025/26 season. Their preparations include four matches against Premier League opposition and a home game against Fiorentina at Old Trafford.

Following the meeting with Leeds, United will fly to the United States to take on West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.

With the Leeds match kicking off the club’s five-game schedule, fans will be excited to potentially see new signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon in action for the first time.

The XIs have been confirmed below, and with both Cunha and Leon being handed minutes from the start.
