Manchester United confirm five new squad numbers ahead of Arsenal debut
Manchester United have confirmed five squad members will receive new numbers ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Manchester United will debut some of their new signings in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash against Arsenal, with five players receiving new numbers.
Four of these players are new signings, with Alejandro Garnacho also being gifted an upgrade.

New striker Rasmus Højlund will don the No. 11 shirt after Mason Greenwood was sent on loan to Getafe CF, with the English forward not expected to play for United ever again – Højlund may make his debut against Arsenal.
New goalkeeper Altay Bayındır has been handed David de Gea’s old No. 1 shirt after the Spainsh goalkeeper left the club for free in June.
New loan left-back signing Sergio Reguilón, who could also make his debut in Red against Arsenal, has been handed the No. 15 shirt for the duration of his contract.
Alejandro Garnacho, formally of the No. 49 top, has been upgraded. The talented Argentine player will wear the No. 17 shirt for the coming campaign as a sign of his growing importance within the United squad.
Finally, Jonny Evans, who re-joined the club this summer for a one-year contract, has been granted the No. 35 kit. This comes as a surprise as the defender was spotted wearing the No. 4 shirt in training.
Sofyan Amrabat, the club’s final signing of the window, could therefore instead be handed No. 4, as he has worn that shirt for the last two seasons with the Moroccoan national side.
