Manchester United have confirmed Erik ten Hag’s 31-man squad for the upcoming four-game tour of the United States.

Following the opening two games of pre-season, in which United won both, The Reds will be flying to the US in order to play matches against Arsenal, Wrexham, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

A host of young talent have impressed in wins against Leeds United and Lyon, but only several of those have been selected to join the first-team on tour.

Those players include midfielders Dan Gore, Hannibal Mejbri and Kobbie Mainoo, as well as left-back Alvaro Fernandez and winger Omari Forson. Radek Vitek has also been selected as an option between the sticks.

It is expected that Andre Onana will join up with the squad after finalising his deal with the club. He was at Carrington on Wednesday to undergo his medical.

Brazilian midfielder Fred has not be included in the squad amid rumours of an exit, however the club have stated that his exclusion is due to the player dealing with a personal issue and that he will join up with the squad shortly.

Matej Kovar has impressed between the sticks in his two appearances in pre-season so far but was not included in the squad. This may suggest that a loan move away from Old Trafford is close.
