Manchester United coaches “impressed” by 21yo signing who received secret call-up to Ruben Amorim’s squad

Manchester United summer signing Hubert Graczyk has been involved in Ruben Amorim’s last two games against Arsenal and Southampton.
Ruben Amorim has had a difficult start to life at Manchester United but will be hoping to build on recent games.
United won against Arsenal in the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium last week before producing a comeback to win against Southampton at Old Trafford.
Next up comes another home clash against Brighton, and they will provide a tough test for Amorim’s men, who are in desperate need of wins.
Graczyk promoted to United first-team by Amorim
In the summer, United signed 21-year-old goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk from Arsenal on a free transfer in a deal which went under the radar after over £200 million was spent.
The Polish youngster has made three appearances so far this season for the Under-21s and has recently joined in with some first-team action.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Graczyk has been involved in United’s last two games against Arsenal and Southampton.
While the young goalkeeper was not named in the matchday squad for either clash, he trained with the goalkeepers before both games.
Tom Heaton, who is usually acting as the third ‘keeper behind Altay Bayindir and André Onana, was in the directors box’ for the warmup at Old Trafford last time out while Graczyk took part.
The report concluded that Graczyk is thought to have impressed coaches at United, and could eventually be promoted to the first-team on a permanent basis, with Heaton approaching retirement at 38.
Bayindir’s future in doubt at United
Heaton is not the only goalkeeper at United with an uncertain future, with Bayindir also rumoured to leave the club in the summer.
His agent denied reports of a potential mid-season exit before the Turkish international produced a wonderful display at Arsenal.
However, his game-time will remain limited and at the age of 26, it would be no surprise to see him depart the club to search for a no.1 position elsewhere.
Graczyk could be in line to become the no.2 if United decide against replacing Bayindir in the market, while Elyh Harrison is another very impressive shot-stopper in the Academy.
