Manchester United are ‘in touch’ with a 16-year-old wonderkid, who ‘every major club’ is after. The Reds are ‘in the mix’ for the talented teenager.
Manchester United’s current recruitment seems to be a well-constructed blend of experienced, Premier League-ready stars, as well as up-and-coming talents from across the globe.
The Reds brought in two ready-made forwards in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, as well as two future talents in Senne Lammens and Benjamin Šeško.
As well as these first-team additions, Ruben Amorim’s side also acquired some teenage talents such as Diego Leon, who will likely be integrated into the first team at a later date.
On the topic of their talent spotting, United have turned their attention to a 16-year-old wonderkid, who ‘every major club’ are in the mix for, with the Reds being ‘in touch’ with the star.
United in for Mora
As confirmed by United In Focus, via Graeme Bailey, United have had scouts watching the U20 World Cup in Chile, where Gilberto Mora of Mexico has caught the eye of the masses.
As stated by Bailey, “Gilberto Mora is lighting up the U20 World Cup. He went to do the tournament as the most talked about player, and he is living up to the billing.
“Three goals and an assist, and every major club has seen him do it. United’s scouts are there, and compiling reports, but everyone knows how good he is – it is just confirming what they know.
“United are in touch with his people, but they are not talking directly about a move to anyone – but United are making sure the player is aware and they are in the mix.”
United need to act quick
At only 16 years of age, Mora is a fully capped international for Mexico, and is being tipped to be their main man at the 2026 World Cup next summer.
With Mora only gaining more and more attention, United will need to act quickly to secure the youngster’s services before any of the other top European sides make their move.

Both of the Spanish juggernauts, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are in contention for the teenager; however, United could potentially offer the Mexican first-team football by the time he is eligible for a move to England at 18.
United’s collection of highly talented youngsters is growing by the season and will give fans of the club much to be excited about in the future. Hopefully, they can add Mora to this.
