Manchester United are “front of queue” for ambitious future transfer for £50m star
Manchester United are reportedly “front of the queue” for an ambitious future transfer for a £50 million star.
The Reds have now finalized the signings of Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, and Manuel Ugarte, completing their planned additions to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
These new arrivals have significantly strengthened the team, and United also successfully offloaded players during the summer, further supporting their transfer activity.
However, while the club was able to bring in most of its priority signings during the window, one player slipped through the cracks.
Reports at the beginning of the summer explained that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS had Michael Olise as their primary target.
However, other positions took priority for the team, with additions needed in defence and up front. By the time those signings were made, Olise had signed for Bayern Munich for £50 million.
A new report from MailOnline has explained that United were so excited about the idea of signing Olise that they were prepared to enlist the help of Sir Alex Ferguson to persuade him.
However, it was too late, and the Bundesliga giants completed a deal with Crystal Palace to offer the Frenchman a new and exciting test.
Despite this, the aforementioned report explained that United would be at the “front of the queue” if the 22-year-old decides to leave Bayern in the future.
Olise joined Crystal Palace from Reading in the summer of 2021. He made 82 Premier League appearances, scoring 14 goals and registering 22 assists.
