Manchester United star now ‘pushing’ to leave after Erik ten Hag’s new decision
Manchester United now have a star “pushing” to leave Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag’s new decision reduced his playing time.
Manchester United‘s 2024 transfer window was notably dynamic, ushering in significant changes across the Old Trafford squad.
Erik ten Hag strengthened the squad by bringing in five key first-team players: Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and Manuel Ugarte, all of whom were signed over the summer.

At the same time, the team saw major exits, including Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood. These departures helped the club generate over £120 million in sales throughout the summer.
However, while many thought that United’s window was finished, a late twist has seen another player reportedly push to leave the club this summer.
According to The Sun, Brazilian winger Antony has changed his mind regarding his status at the club and is pushing to leave on loan before the Turkish transfer window closes.
The report further states that Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are the current front runners for the 24-year-old, while Ajax, clubs in Spain, France, and Saudi Arabia, are monitoring his situation.
Antony has reportedly told the club he wants to leave after Ten Hag chose to reduce his playing time. Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho have outperformed the winger since his arrival in 2022.
Antony signed for the club for around £85 million from Ajax during the same window Ten Hag first took charge of the club but has failed to live up to expectations. The Turkish transfer window is open until Friday, but any permanent exit would likely occur in 2025 rather than in the next few days.
Should Antony feel that he has no future at Old Trafford, a loan move may be the best option for all parties. It would allow him to get game time and show off his abilities, while United would be able to prepare for a future without him.
