Victor Lindelöf has three options this summer, with Manchester United now reportedly “open” to selling the Swedish captain.

INEOS are looking to sell players that they deem to be fringe from Erik ten Hag‘s squad this summer, with Manchester United needing new funds for further signings in the coming months.

United are looking to bring in two centre-backs this summer, meaning that space must be made, and Raphaël Varane has already confirmed that he will be leaving Old Trafford once his contract expires at the end of June.

While the futures of Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans remain unclear, although the former is rumoured to be close to a fresh one-year deal at Old Trafford, some light has been shed on the future of Victor Lindelöf, with United reportedly open to a sale this summer.

With INEOS wanting fresh cash, Lindelöf has been linked with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, with the Turkish club said to be “excited” at the possibility of signing the 29-year-old and have initiated contact, making this the first of three options that Lindelöf has.

Further, Fenerbahçe are reportedly set to offer around £6.7 million for him this summer, with Lindelöf “bored” with the situation at United, where he is no longer first-choice. As the two clubs have good relations, the Turkish side “expects to finalise” a transfer soon.

However, they are not the only club interested. Other reports have also mentioned that Everton is currently interested in the Swedish defender as a replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite, with a potential swap deal on the horizon.

This is the second option for Lindelöf and might be the most attractive. It would allow him to be a first-choice player at a Premier League club.

Finally, Lindelöf also has the option of seeing out his United contract. He has one year left on his deal, with United extending the initial terms by 12 months earlier this year. However, there is no sign of a new deal as of yet.

However, it would be likely that Lindelöf will not be a favoured option at Old Trafford next campaign if the club bring in two new players – he would be stuck as a fourth or fifth option.
