Manchester United “meet agents” as they eye Tottenham target, says Fabrizio Romano
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have met with the agents of a Tottenham Hotspur transfer target as Erik ten Hag eyes defensive reinforcements.
Manchester United are seemingly looking to sign a new right-back this summer. The sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the English defender in the final year of his contract, looks likely.
There have been significant links between Wan-Bissaka and both West Ham and Inter Milan, meaning that United have, of course, been linked with a whole host of newcomers to take the position of battling Diogo Dalot.

Noussair Mazraoui and Denzel Dumfries have been the two most-mentioned players for the position, with the former a big fan of working for Erik ten Hag again. Mazraoui played for Ten Hag while at Ajax.
Dumfries is currently at Inter Milan, and there have been rumours that intermediaries are holding talks about a potential swap deal, but the clubs have not engaged in any official action.
However, despite the links to the aforementioned players, there is a third on United’s list – AS Monaco’s Brazilian defender Vanderson.
Fabrizio Romano, the transfer expert, has revealed that Vanderson is both a potential target for Manchester United and their Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
“The third right-back Manchester United could consider is the Brazilian right-back, Vanderson,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“He is considered at the moment probably too expensive because Monaco at the moment want an important money for Vanderson. But the Brazilian boy is on the list of many clubs.
“Tottenham have met his agents. Manchester United met his agents. So there is interest in Vanderson and it’s concrete, so let’s see what is going to happen on this situation.”
While the club are thought to almost certainly sign a new right-back this summer, this situation entirely depends on Wan-Bissaka’s future. The club need to sell in order to buy.
