Scott McTominay is said to be “more than willing” to stay at Manchester United following Erik ten Hag’s words despite the rumours surrounding him.

Scott McTominay’s 2023/24 season at Manchester United has been his most outstanding so far, scoring 10 goals under Erik ten Hag.

Since making his debut under Jose Mourinho in 2017, McTominay has been a versatile and dependable player for every manager during his seven-year stint with the first team. However, this season is likely to be his last at Old Trafford.

In 2023, McTominay was on the brink of a £30 million move to West Ham, but the deal fell through, resulting in another year at United. Now, with INEOS needing to raise funds for new acquisitions, McTominay is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs as well as those in Europe.

Recent reports indicate that United have received two bids from Fulham for McTominay, one around £17 million and another around £23 million. Galatasaray are also rumoured to have made an £11 million bid and remains interested.

Additionally, McTominay is drawing attention from West Ham United, Newcastle United, and Southampton, making him one of United’s most in-demand players this summer.

However, a fresh report from TeamTalk has stated that while McTominay is “mulling” over his future due to the talk surrounding his future, he is “more than willing” to remain at Old Trafford and continue to be part of Ten Hag’s team.

Ten Has has said himself he hopes the Scottish international will remain at Old Trafford despite the bids surrounding the 27-year-old midfielder.

“I think we have very good players, so they’ll always have an interest from other clubs,” Ten Hag said recently. “If you score 10 goals in a season and perform very well for Scotland, there will be an interest.

“We want to actually keep him because he’s a very important player for our squad. We’ve seen what he can contribute last season. When we had the sixes and he could play in a more advanced role. He’s a highly interesting player for our team.”
