According to the latest reports, Manchester United have accepted a bid from Napoli for Scott McTominay, boosting their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte.
After investing £139 million on new recruits Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, Manchester United, Manchester United are working to balance their spending by raising funds through player sales.

As the transfer deadline looms next Thursday, the club is still exploring market options to further streamline their squad. Additionally, Manchester United are actively pursuing a midfielder, with PSG’s Manuel Ugarte as a prime target.
Respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Ugarte is keenly pushing for a move to Old Trafford.
According to David Ornstein, Napoli have struck a deal with United to sign Scottish international Scott McTominay, pending finalisation of the player’s terms.
The agreement includes a transfer fee of around £25.4 million, and United will also receive a portion of any future sale by the Italian club.
Further, Ornstein also revealed that if McTominay’s sale goes through, it would actively boost their pursuit of Ugarte.
While PSG and United are at a stalemate regarding a transfer fee, United’s fresh injection of funds through McTominay’s sale means they may become more flexible considering the £51 million demand.
“They have a replacement lined up in the form of Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte and activating that would be aided by the sale of McTominay,” Ornstein wrote.
The transfer window closes on Thursday, 30 August, at 11 pm BST.
