Manchester United’s Manuel Ugarte transfer now ‘close’ as price tag revealed
According to reports from France, Manchester United and Paris St. Germain are close to an agreement to transfer Manuel Ugarte this summer.
Following their significant investments totalling £139 million on the acquisitions of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, Manchester United is now focusing on recouping funds through player sales for further transfer activities.
They’ve already amassed £55 million from the sales of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, and others as they explore additional market opportunities before the transfer window closes next Thursday.

The club is particularly interested in adding a midfielder before the 30 August deadline, with Paris St. Germain’s Manuel Ugarte identified as a key target for the midfield position.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has previously reported that Ugarte is eagerly pushing for a move to join Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Now, according to a report from Le Parisian, United and PSG are close to an agreement for Ugarte, revealing the transfer fee to be at around a price of £51 million (€60 million).
Although details remain to be settled to finalize the operation, the parties are confident in striking a deal in the coming days.
Further, the report explains that exchanges between the two clubs have been going on for “several weeks” after United made Ugarte a priority transfer in July.
Ugarte was recently left out of PSG’s training group by manager Luis Enrique, with the Spaniard deeming him surplus to requirements in Paris, as well as out of the squad that defeated Le Harve last weekend in a 4-1 riot away from home.
Ugarte looks set to become Ten Hag’s fifth acquisition of the summer as part of his big Old Trafford rebuild and will compete for places alongside Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen, and Scott McTominay – although the latter two have both been linked with moves away.
