Manchester United eyeing “beautiful” Premier League forward who possesses traits Rúben Amorim needs

According to fresh reports, Manchester United are eyeing a “beautiful” Premier League forward who possesses traits that Rúben Amorim needs in his current squad.

Manchester United are expected to turn their attention to attacking reinforcements this summer as Rúben Amorim’s side continue to misfire in front of goal.

Outside of Bruno Fernandes, United’s attacking players have struggled to make an impact, with the front three regularly failing to contribute on the scoresheet. Their inconsistent home form at Old Trafford has only added to the concern.

During the January transfer window, the club loaned out multiple forwards — Antony to Real Betis, Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa, and Ethan Wheatley to Walsall — leaving noticeable gaps in the squad.

Despite those departures, United made no attacking additions. The only arrivals were defensive: left wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce and 18-year-old centre-back Ayden Heaven from Arsenal — a window that left many fans scratching their heads.

United eyeing possible transfer for Premier League forward

With United in desperate need of forwards who know their way around the Premier League, the club are reportedly eyeing a move for Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert.

The Dutch international has been a sensation under Cherries boss Andoni Iraola, recording 12 Premier League goals and six assists in 28 fixtures across the competition this campaign.

According to CaughtOffside, United have been “closely monitoring” the 25-year-old for a sustained period, and have added him to their list of targets to bolster their front line.

However, Amorim’s team are not alone in their interest, with Newcastle, Liverpool, and Tottenham all on alert to the player’s situation this summer.

It is claimed that Bournemouth would demand a fee of around £40-45 million for the player this summer, with his contract with the club valid until 2028.

Kluivert has the attributes Amorim is looking for

As well as proving himself to be a player who can find the back of the net, Kluivert is also a forward who has many traits Amorim is no doubt looking for in the summer window.

Iraola has waxed lyrical about Kluivert’s defensive capabilities and work rate aside from the “beautiful” goals the Dutchman can score, which will be music to Amorim’s ears.

“Justin has been amazing. His duels and his defensive work was very good too. He scored very, very beautiful goals,” Iraola said of the player back in January after a 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle, where Kluivert netted a hat-trick.

Amorim is looking for forwards who will be able to add to United’s goal tally but also who are versitile enough to play across the club’s front three.

Kluivert fits the bill, with United reportedly also eyeing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha and Brentford star man Bryan Mbeumo, who are expected to be sold by their respective clubs for in excess of £50 million this summer.
