Manchester United ‘ready’ to sanction sale after 21-year-old hands in transfer request
Manchester United are reportedly ready to sanction the sale of a 21-year-old after the young star handed in a transfer request at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are looking to sanction multiple sales this summer following the signings of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui for a total of £139 million.
Although this is a high number, the club have also garnered over £55 million in sales, with the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mason Greenwood, Willy Kambwala, and others departing Old Trafford in the last few months.

With just under two weeks left of the transfer window, the club want to sign a new midfielder and potentially another left-back, with Manuel Ugarte reportedly now “pushing like crazy” for a move from Paris St. Germain.
United need more sales to fund their transfers, and according to a recent report from Football Insider, They are ready to sanction Hannibal Mejbri’s departure.
Mejbri has fallen in the pecking order since the beginning of last season. Originally starting to gather minutes under Erik ten Hag, the young Tunisian made way for Kobbie Mainoo’s rise.
He then departed on a six-month loan to Sevilla, where he fell out with the manager and failed to play significant minutes. He needs to head to a new club that will give him the proper game time to shine.
This news comes after news that Mejbri submitted a transfer request, aiming to secure a move away from the club before the transfer window closes.
Both Rangers and Celtic have shown interest. Rangers were especially impressed by Mejbri’s performance during a pre-season friendly against them last month.
Mejbri joined United for just under £10 million from AS Monaco but has failed to have the impact in the first team that many predicted. His contract expires next summer.
