Manchester United “continuing” target talks as £30 million transfer battle emerges
Manchester United are said to be continuing talks for one of their summer targets as a transfer battle emerges between two Premier League sides.
Manchester United have made a strong impact in the summer transfer window, securing the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for £36 million and bringing in 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million.
The acquisition of Yoro has been particularly well-received, with United and INEOS earning accolades for outbidding Real Madrid, showcasing their ambitious vision for the future.

Additionally, United have bolstered their defense by signing Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich for a combined initial fee of just over £50 million.
While rumours have suggested that midfield is their next big target, there have also been claims that the club are looking to sign another left-back, considering the injury problems faced by Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia over the last 12 months.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, United have been and are continuing to pursue Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu, with the 24-year-old Turkish international of interest to multiple Premier League sides.
It is claimed that although United are set to bid for the player, Brighton & Hove Albion are the current front-runners for his signature.
Various reports have claimed that Brighton submitted an offer of around £30 million plus add-ons for the player and that his future will be “finalised soon”.
So far this season, United have fielded Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martínez in the position, with Shaw not available until after the international break in September.
“Luke Shaw will miss the opening games of the Premier League season due to a calf injury sustained at the start of pre-season training,” a club statement read last week.
“He is working hard on his rehabilitation with a view to being available after the first international break.”
